Community, fun, and purpose
Curious about the latest happenings at Dive Magic? You’re in the right place. As Idaho’s # 1 dive shop, we love keeping you up-to-date on all things diving in the valley—and one of the best ways to do that is getting in the water (and in the community) with you.
We offer events throughout the year to keep our local community diving across Boise’s Treasure Valley and Twin Falls’ Magic Valley. Some days are all about giving back to the places we love to dive. Others are purely for fun, connection, and a little friendly underwater mischief. Either way, you’ll leave with new dive buddies, fresh motivation, and another reason to keep your gear ready.
What kind of events we host
We organize a variety of events, both at our dive shop and within the community—because staying engaged is how divers stay active, confident, and connected.
Here are a few of the favorites you’ll see on our calendar:
- Lake cleanups – Get outside, do something meaningful, and make your local dive sites better for everyone.
- Underwater pumpkin carving contests – Yes, it’s as fun as it sounds (and yes, your carving face is the same underwater).
- Haunted pool dives – A little spooky, a lot memorable.
- Customer appreciation dives – A simple way for us to say thanks and spend time with the people who make this community great.
- Women’s dive day celebrations – An empowering day on the calendar that brings divers together and welcomes new ones in.
You don’t need to be “the most experienced diver in the group” to have a great time at a Dive Magic event. If you’re excited about diving and you want to be part of the community, you belong here.

Some events are easy drop-in community meetups; others may require an RSVP so we can plan properly. The best approach is simple:

- Follow the RSVP instructions included with that event.
If you’re not sure whether an event is a fit for you—or you’re wondering what you should bring—reach out. We’d rather answer a quick question up front and help you feel confident showing up.
Why we do it
Diving is better with friends. Events are where introductions happen, local knowledge gets shared, and newer divers realize they’re not “new” for long. They’re also where seasoned divers keep the spark alive between bigger trips and bucket-list adventures.
